Dagny vs Claude Tag
Claude Tag is what a big lab builds for companies with an IT department: genuinely capable, and assembled like enterprise software. Dagny is built for the business where the owner is the IT department.
Claude Tag
Claude Tag is a real teammate inside Slack.
Dagny

What Claude Tag does well
It is a real teammate, not a chatbot: it takes delegated tasks, works autonomously for hours, shares memory across your public Slack channels, and can follow up on its own. If your whole business lives in Slack, on a Team or Enterprise plan with someone to run the rollout, it is genuinely capable.
Where Dagny is different
Read Anthropic's setup guide and you can tell who it is for: a Claude org Owner, a Slack workspace admin, usage credits loaded before anything runs, and a dedicated claude@ email provisioned into every tool. That is a rollout, and plenty of companies have someone whose job that is. Most owner-run businesses do not. Dagny needs a login and an afternoon, answers on iMessage and email as well as Slack, and what she learns follows the business everywhere instead of staying inside one Slack workspace. Outbound email matters too: Tag's Gmail access is read-only, so sending stays on your plate; Dagny drafts, gets your approval, and sends.

Common questions
- What is Claude Tag?
- Anthropic's AI teammate for Slack, in beta since June 2026 on Team and Enterprise plans. You tag @Claude in channels and it takes on tasks autonomously, with memory shared across public channels in that workspace.
- How is Dagny different from Claude Tag?
- Three things. Dagny works across Slack, iMessage, and email with one shared memory, not Slack alone. She handles outbound email end to end (draft, your approval, send, follow-up) where Claude Tag's Gmail access is read-only. And she needs no admin setup, seat plan, or preloaded usage credits to start.
- Can Claude Tag send emails?
- Not through any supported path today: its Gmail connection offers a read-only scope. Dagny drafts, gets your approval, sends, and chases the reply.
However you compare, two things stay true. Dagny works with you in the loop: she drafts, you approve, she sends, and nothing reaches a customer without your yes. And behind her there are people. Our team is a message away whenever you want a human.
